Executive Committee of ESRS visiting Kraków

In early June 2016 ESRS Executive Committee and Scientific Committee  members visited the site of the 2017 Congress in Kraków (Poland).   Sally Shortall (President, ESRS), Lee-Ann Sutherland (Executive Committee), Joost Dessein (Chair, Scientific Committee) were accompanied by members of the 2017 Local Organising Committee. Krzysztof Gorlach (Chair, LOC), Piotr Nowak and Aleksandra Wagner showed the guests the facilities that will be used for conference activities including plenaries, working groups and social events. They toured the Jagiellonian University Auditorium Maximum along with buildings at the Jagiellonian University Law School and in the Institute of Sociology. One the second day of their trip, the delegation met Professor Jarosław Górniak (Dean, Faculty of Philosophy) to sign the contract outlining the organization of the 27th ESRS Congress. Then during that afternoon, the visitors were accompanied by the members of LOC to Zalesie which is approximately 20 kilometers south-east from Kraków. Zalesie is the location for the final conference dinner on July 27th 2017.
